Tutor Room Policy
The Tutor/Small Meeting Rooms of the Findlay-Hancock County Public Library are available to individuals or groups whose primary purpose is non-profit, civic, cultural or educational, when the rooms are not being used for library-related activities.
Room Descriptions
There are three Tutor/Small Meeting Rooms located in the library’s lower level and are accessible by elevator.
- Each room has a table and chairs and an electrical outlet, and a Wi-Fi connection is available throughout the library.
- These rooms are not sound proof.
There is one Tutor/Small Meeting Room located on the library’s main level by the Circulation Desk.
- This room has a table and chairs and an electrical outlet.
- This room has a computer and webcam.
- The library's Internet and Public Computer Acceptable Use Policy are applicable.
Guidelines for Use
- Tutor/Small Meeting Room keys are available at the Information Desk.
- Advance reservations are available, but not required.
- Meeting Room space may be reserved by contacting the Information Desk in person or at 419-422-1712.
- Reservations may be made up to one week in advance.
- The room may be reserved for up to a 2-hour time block each day, with the option to extend for an additional hour if no one is waiting to use the room.
- Room reservations may not begin prior to library opening time and must conclude by 15 minutes before the posted library closing time. If the patron who reserved the study room does not arrive within 15 minutes of the reservation start time, the room may be opened up to other patrons.
- Rooms may only be signed out by a patron at least 18 years of age.
- The patron who reserved the room must be present throughout the reservation.
- Food is not permitted in the Tutor/Small Meeting Rooms. Beverages with lids are permitted in rooms 1-3, no beverages are allowed in room 4.
- The doors and windows may not be obstructed or covered.
- Room capacity is limited to: 2 persons for Rooms 1, 2, and 4, and 4 persons for Room 3.
- Priority for large groups is given for room 3.
