Join us for Baby Storytime at the library. We will sing, rhyme, read, and have fun with scarves and shakers! This program is suggested for children up to 36 months of age and their caregivers. Older siblings are welcome, too.

Family Nature Hike: A Closer Look (at Oakwoods)

Whats better than a nature hike? A nature hike with magnifying glasses! Enjoy a family hike and learn to take a closer look at the world around you.

Join us at Oakwoods Nature Preserve (1400 Oakwoods Lane, Findlay). Well meet at the Richard S. "Doc" Phillips Discovery Center. In the case of inclement weather, we will move the magnifying glass activities inside the Discovery Center.

This program is presented with the Hancock Parks District.

Please register all family members who will go on the hike. Children 8 and under should be accompanied by an adult.

Tanabata Celebration

Join us for Japanese origami, toys, clothing, and a story. Write your wishes on tanzaku (colorful strips of paper) and hang them on our Tanabata tree. This program is presented in partnership with University of Findlay's Mazza Museum and the Japan Outreach Initiative.

Knit Together: A Knitting Club for Grades 4-6

Do you love to knit? Want to learn how? Join us for our knitting club. All skill levels, including beginners, are welcome to join. We recommend beginners sign up for all three sessions (Monday, July 17 / Wednesday, July 19 / Friday, July 21) to get the most instruction and practice time. Grades 4-6. Space is limited and registration is required.

Drawing Club: Sharpie Mugs

Do you love to draw? Join us for drawing tutorials and hang out with other young artists. This month, we will be learning how to make custom mugs by drawing with Sharpie paint markers.
Recommended for grades 2 and up. Space is limited and registration is required. Please register each child who plans to paint with a separate registration so we can provide a mug for each child. Children 8 and under should be accompanied by an adult caregiver.
